About Me

Hey everyone, I'm Mehakpreet. This is my first year in University and on MSS, I'm really excited to represent all the first years at Mcmaster. You'll usually see me in JHE or at the Hub, I find those spots to be really relaxing and a nice spot to get work done. I'm a commuter from Guelph so I can understand the struggle for some of you guys as well :( outside of University I really enjoy casual hangouts with my friends where we can just socialize and catchup, as well as going to the gym which I know many of us have in common. I think that this year is going to be a great year for the Science students, and I hope to meet each and every one of you on campus and don't hesitate to say HI !

Goals

1. Amplify communications regarding resources available to First Years.

2. Increase the representation of science on the Mac Sci website by creating a page for first years.

3. Act as the liaison between the MSS and first year science students, representing their values

Projects

1. Create a Science specific discord to help others communicate and succeed.

2. Organize first-year course study sessions with your science peers, to create a community based approach to learning.

3. Host a bonfire night for all the first year students in science to socialize and have a chill night together. It would include hot chocolate, an open mic and smores.
