The MSS Advocacy Scholarship recognizes science students who advocate on topics that they are passionate about and/or on behalf of those who cannot advocate for themselves. As science students, we hold the responsibility of advocating for others, for the betterment of society.

The MSS Engagement & Community Scholarship recognizes science students who take action and engage with the surrounding McMaster University community. The MSS celebrates those who enrich their university experience through their involvement in the McMaster community.

The MSS Introspection Scholarship recognizes science students who reflect on their experiences in university and the lessons they learned about themselves throughout their journey. The MSS recognizes that although we come to McMaster University to gain an education, we also gain insights about ourselves.

The MSS Leadership & Innovation Scholarship recognizes science students who display admirable leadership skills and innovation during their university career. The MSS recognizes that although leadership styles may differ and change may be difficult, good leadership benefits everyone and innovation can come from anything.

The MSS Resilience & Courage Scholarship recognizes science students who come from a variety of backgrounds and encounter diverse experiences throughout their undergraduate career. Each student may face external challenges and overcome these challenges, in their own individual way. The MSS recognizes that this requires resilience and courage.
