“The McMaster Undergraduate Society for the Chemical Sciences (MUSCS) strives to support all Chemistry, Sustainable Chemistry and Chemical Biology students at McMaster. MUSCS plans and hosts both academic and social events to enhance the undergraduate experience of students. Each member of the team is determined to advocate on behalf of all students and provide them with the tools to succeed in their studies. MUSCS wants students to continue to feel connected and supported as they returned to campus for a fully in person school year.”
Annual events include: The Upper Year Pen-Pal Program, Wel-Chem Week (Radical Scavenger Hunt, Profs in their element, How to be Successful in Second Year For “Dummies,” Meet the profs, “Bond” fire, Lab Coat Tie-Dye, Trivia Night), Graduate Studies Information Session/Q&A Panel, Industry Guest Speaker Event, Course-specific study sessions, Holiday Socials, Chemistry Formal (name and theme changed yearly), Therapy dogs, Scholarship and research information sessions, Coffeehouse.

“iSci was introduced in 2009, making it one of McMaster University's newest programs. It emphasizes how a multi-disciplinary approach is needed to ask creative and critical questions. The iSci Society is a student run, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the university experience for iSci students at McMaster University. By offering students enrolled in this program a wide range of academic and social events, the iSci Society aims to facilitate an environment that fosters unity, collaboration, and acceptance. Our group is proud not only to be able to specifically cater to the needs of our students but also to engage them in events that develop connections all over campus.”
Annual events include: Coffeehouse, Mythical Leap, TriSci Events, Pi Day, Concentration Carnival, and iSNL.

We are committed to fostering relationships between Math students, program staff, and faculty members through academic and social events, as well as connecting with other societies and schools across Canada.
Annual events: Academic Review Sessions: We run first-year mock midterms and review sessions. Each session is led by a qualified TA from the Math and Stats department. In the past, we have run mock midterms for Math 1X03, Math 1XX3, and Math 1C03.
Colloquiums: We run student-focused seminars biweekly, calling on professors around the department to give talks aimed at undergraduate students. These differ from the faculty seminars, which are typically geared toward professional mathematicians.
Hamilton Hall Takeover: We host a fun social across Hamilton Hall with fun games, food, and much more activities to bring unity to the Math program here at McMaster.
Pi Day: A day where we have pie, giveaway pi pins, and ultimately celebrate the first three significant digits to pi! (3.14)
Pub Night: We host pub nights at the Phoenix here at McMaster where we can relax, socialize, and enjoy a meal with fellow peers in the Math program.

The McMaster BioPsych Society is a society at McMaster representing the BioPsych program! We host numerous events to support students in BioPsych, as well as PNB and Biology related programs! The events we host range from academic events to support students throughout their academic journeys at McMaster, social events to provide students an opportunity to meet other students in BioPsych, the NXC Conference which allows undergraduate students to showcase their research, and other fun events throughout the year!
Annual events include: Careers Night: An opportunity to meet and chat with professionals in the field including MSc students, McMaster professors, doctors, medical students, and more!
Research Info Night: A chance to hear about the research others are doing, get advice, and find opportunities for yourself!
Socials: We host various fun socials throughout the year! In the past, we have hosted ice skating socials, pumpkin carving socials, board game socials, and more! There will be many fun events like these throughout the year!
NXC Conference: The NXC Conference is an opportunity for undergraduate students who have completed research under supervision in a Canadian University to showcase their work! It's a great opportunity to hear about research, and network!

The Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour (PNB) Society aims to provide social and academic events, activities, academic support, and leadership opportunities to students in the Department of PNB, and the specialties within and related to it. The society offers numerous ways in which students can get involved through our second-year ambassador program, the peer mentoring service, and a multitude of social and academic events. The society’s events facilitate both social and academic growth through faculty and peer interactions that allow for long-lasting connections, and academic opportunities. These connections create a tight-knit and inclusive cohort, connecting all specializations under the PNB department, and fostering a close community across all levels of the program where students can thrive.
Annual events include: Cookie Decorating - an opportunity for students to socialize while getting in the winter spirit and decorating cookies, PNB Formal - annual event held for students to participate in a night of dressing up, socializing, food and dancing, PNB Ambassador Event - a fun social event for all PNB students to get involved! “Our student society represents the Medical Radiation Science program, so most of our efforts are aimed to support med rad students through their academic endeavours while also creating fun, memorable experiences. In addition, we bridge the gap between students and faculty, facilitating feedback and positive change within the program.”
Annual events: Every year - Banquet/Formal (usually in winter semester, a specific theme with a med rad word play, dj, photo booth, dinner served), MRT week (medical radiation technologist week which changes every year, we plan week long events to celebrate each streams (ultrasound, rad therapy, radiography) that are dedicated to a day), Clothing sales (we design our own designs for our merch and sell them)
2023-2024 - Board game night (at 1280, happened in October), Costume contest (for Halloween, did a contest of who had the best costume), Bonfire at the end of second semester

The McMaster Undergraduate Physics Society is responsible for providing free food and socialization to deprived physics students. We represent all undergraduates students in a physics program or a program joint with the McMaster Physics & Astronomy Department. We host a multitude of events for socialization, career planning, academic support and more. Come check us out at our next event.

“The McMaster Actuarial Society is a student led club for those pursing a career in the actuarial field. We host networking events in partnership with actuarial companies, social events and help students prepare for actuarial exams. We also work closely with the AFM professors and the SCCE!”

Interdisciplinary career panel - A chance to hear the experiences of different individuals in varying professions related to kinesiology
We also provide lots of other academic supports such as course specific study nights and tutoring as well as smaller social and student wellness events throughout the year.
The purpose of SEESSA is to facilitate the integration of science and social science students within the School of Earth, Environment, and Society, through academic, networking and social events organized by the club throughout the academic term. Within this, we take on leadership roles to regularly connect with faculty members to help further develop our courses, build opportunities for students to connect with professionals, further support their academic goals, and build strong social connections with the McMaster community. As the structure of SEES connects students from both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Social Science, we work to effectively represent diverse interests and community connections. In addition to this, we aim to provide academic and social support to all executive and general members throughout the academic year.
Annual events include: Level 2 Welcome Event, Level 3/4+ Welcome Back Event, Meet the Profs Cheers and Chat, Lunchtime Career Speaker, Career Networking Night, Study Sessions, Multiple Social Events such as rock painting, fall hikes, Dundas Tour, etc.

The PNB Mental Health society is a subdivision of the McMaster Science Society. We are a collective of 15 students in the program who aim to bring a sense of community within the cohorts by enhancing student experience through hosting socials and providing both resources and academic events to help students succeed in the specialization.
