About Me

This is my first leadership role at Mac, and I'm so grateful to have this opportunity! The reason I chose McMaster (and specifically the Life Sciences program) was because of the Faculty of Science's welcoming and enriching community. I hope that I get to be a key part in fostering this supportive environment with the MSS over the next 6 months. One thing that stood out to me when I first joined this team was the passion that all of its members have towards bettering the lives of science students. With their help, I will try my best to ensure that this year is the best year for the entire Class of 2028!!

Goals

1. Amplify communication regarding resources available for first-years.

2. Increase first-year representation across MSS domains.

3. Act as the liaison between the MSS and first-year Science students; amplifying their needs and representing their values.

Projects

1. Create a Science-Specific discord page where we can provide resources + information regarding the MSS (science-related events, merchandise, and opportunities), as well as provide an avenue for first years to connect with senior peers.

2. Organize first-year course study sessions/groups to foster a community-based approach to learning and preparing for exams.

3. First-year exclusive bonfire night with s'mores, hot chocolate, and an open-mic.
