About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Isabella, and I am starting my second year at McMaster in Honours Life Sciences II. I am very excited for my first role in the MSS as the second year representative. I am making it my goal to assure that you all feel that any questions, feedback or concerns you may have are being heard and responded to. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing and meeting you at the different MSS events throughout the year. When I don't have class, you can most likely find me in the PG study rooms or Mills Library. In the evenings, you may also often spot me trying out a variety of intramural sports (highly recommend the innertube pool ones). If you see me, feel free to say hi, or if you prefer, I am also available via email! I hope you all have a great school year!

Goals

1. Help second year students feel heard by providing them with a clear place where they can share questions, feedback or ideas they may have.

2. Assure that students are aware and kept up to date, such as through an instagram page, on events and opportunities taking place within the MSS.

3. Give students an opportunity to learn about their specialization/their program and the different career options that can come from it.

Projects

1. Continue to host socialization/de-stressor events with the other MSS reps throughout the year to give students a small break from their academic workload.

2. Organize an event where upper-year science students as well as alumni can speak on their past experiences and provide advice to the second years in relation to their programs.

3. Educate students on research opportunities and where/how they can apply.
