About Me

Hey MacSci! My name is Sanjanaa and I'm in my fourth year of Honours Life Sciences! This will be my second year on the MSS team and I'm thrilled to be one of the Social Media Directors! The MSS is responsible for many fun, creative and helpful initiatives so I'm looking forward to attending all the events we have planned! If you ever need to find me on campus, I'm almost always "studying" at MUSC but the Hub has also been a top contender recently! To unwind, I love watching Netflix for hours on end, working out, sleeping and spending time with my friends and family!

Our social media platforms bridge the gap between the student body and events/opportunities within the MSS. It is my role to effectively promote these initiatives while being responsive to my peers on the executive team and MacSci students who have questions/comments about our social media content. I’m excited to connect with all of you and showcase the best of what the MSS has to offer!

Goals

1. Boost outreach and engagement on all MSS social media platforms.

2. Use a variety of online tools and features to promote events/opportunities in a creative and engaging manner.

3. Actively respond to student inquiries across all social media platforms.

Projects

1. Create a social media challenge to engage more MacSci students.

2. Discover and implement new methods of promotion that may be more effective.

3. Uphold EDI and accessibility principles across all social media posts and stories.
