About Me

Hi MacSci! I'm Jyot and this is my third year on The MSS! I am very excited to be a VP this year, especially the VP of such a diverse, large, and integral team: Comms! I am sure this year has many great things ahead. I will ensure excellent coverage and representation of MacSci at any events and opportunities through graphics, photos, videos, and more! I am also super thrilled to bring SciScope to larger platforms such as TikTok, really connecting students with The MSS and the Faculty as a whole. You can find me in The MSS office or Mills 6th floor (my second home basically). Excited for this year!!

Goals

1. Establish a strong MSS presence on social media platforms. This year, we will be bringing back our account on TikTok so I aim to post various content to expand outreach and engagement on there as well. The continuation of past series and graphics will continue on Instagram and Discord.

2. Broaden graphic design templates to fit each unique event and opportunity better, while keeping established colour palettes constant. A platform change is also being implemented this year to allow the Graphics Team to better utilize elements and tools efficiently.

3. Increase the availability and accessibility of MSS services to the student body by encouraging interaction between the Executive Team and MacSci students. My goal is to foster a sense of belonging within the MSS community, which the executive team may accomplish through initiatives such as social media interactions, including Instagram takeovers.

Projects

1. Release a new, modern, and minimal merch line: MSS Streetwear.

2. Establish a strong presence on TikTok with SciScope

3. Refine The MSS brand through a variety of graphic designs
