Georgia Irvine-Casault
Hi everyone! My name is Georgia and I am a second-year student in the Honours Life Science program. My passion for health and nutrition has made me want to pursue a career in Naturopathic medicine. I began tutoring math three years ago, received honours in high school and in Biology during my first year at McMaster. As a tutor, my main priority is to help students achieve their academic goals and to enjoy the subjects they are learning. I like to tailor each tutoring session to a student's learning style and apply students’ personal interests to the material they are struggling with.

Preferred Teaching Style: I like to take a more interactive approach when teaching my students by asking them questions to help keep them more engaged during the tutoring session. I like to explain difficult concepts with the help of demonstrations involving different objects or tools. I also like to incorporate visual aids, such as images from the internet or in textbooks. Whenever I am explaining a concept, I frequently draw images or write down processes to help the student gain a full understanding of the material. I also find it useful to tailor the tutoring session to each student by applying some concepts to their personal interests, or extra-curricular activities in order to help them identify with the subject matter and develop a deeper knowledge of a particular topic.
