Hii!! I am so happy to be returning as an MSS Tutor and I am super excited to finally experience a fully in-person campus (hopefully!!). My favourite place to study on campus is definitely the health sci library because it's always really calm and quiet. In my free time I am usually reading, doing some philanthropy work with my sorority, learning new recipes, or bingeing something on Netflix. I am extremely passionate about biochemistry, so if you have any questions about the program or its courses I am always happy to talk. Also if you have any new show or book recs let me know :)

Preferred Teaching Style: I love to teach through collaboration!! I prefer to incorporate self made worksheets that I can go through with my tutee to reinforce any gaps in knowledge. These worksheets are specifically made using the slides/lessons that the tutee provides me, and if the tutee would like to focus on specific elements of the lesson, I try to focus the worksheets on those concepts. The worksheets can have diagrams to label, some fill-in-the-blanks, and open ended questions that aim to connect the content with other lessons taught in the course. By going through these worksheets together the tutee and I are able to determine the next course of action. This could include working on practice problems together, going over specific concepts again, or creating study resources together that will help with long term retention of the knowledge. While this is the general format I use to approach tutoring a new tutee, I am always flexible and willing to adapt to whatever the tutee feels would work best for them.
