Maryam Tahir
Hi everyone! I am currently going into my third year of life sciences with a minor in psychology, and am beyond excited to be an MSS tutor. I'm especially interested in the field of childhood psychology. My approach to tutoring is to be a good listener, provide focused help based on your concerns and learning styles, and help to build confidence in your skills. When I'm not studying, you can find me hiking around Hamilton, reading a book, baking, or chilling with my best friend, my cat Mano. Please feel free to contact me for any help that you may need!

Preferred Teaching Style: I prefer teaching using visual aids, such as diagrams, graphs, and whiteboards. I also like to use acronyms, abbreviations, and other methods to connect concepts more tangibly and help with memory. Finally, I'm big on questions: ask, ask, ask! There's no such thing as a dumb question, and I often ask questions to ensure that you are up to speed. I also like incorporating sample questions or practice problems to see your thought process and test your understanding.
