Hi, I'm Maya! I'm in my fourth year of the Life Sciences program with a minor in Latin American and Latinx Studies and am super excited to help you achieve your academic goals.

I am really interested in the healthcare field as a whole and how our current system can be improved from an equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility standpoint.

Outside of school I love trying new restaurants (and matcha spots), listening to global music, and reading! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help :)

Year/Program: Honours Life Sciences IV

McMaster Email: mamdanm@mcmaster.ca

Languages: English

Preferred Teaching Style: I tend to teach quite conversationally and verbally to help work through hard problems. This really helps us break down harder concepts into simpler language and make it more understandable for when we need to recall it later. I also love using examples and relating course content to real-world scenarios, later applying them to practice problems and recall!
